Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of international and domestic shipping regulations, ensuring company-wide adherence.
- Monitor changes in legislation and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Documentation Management:
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of records, ensuring accessibility for audits.
Internal Audits:
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established procedures.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Risk Assessment:
- Perform risk assessments related to shipping and customs compliance.
- Develop strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure the integrity of logistics operations.
Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between various departments, ensuring cross-functional compliance.
- Collaborate with logistics, legal, and procurement teams to address compliance issues proactively.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data related to fleet performance, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs.
- Generate insightful reports to inform decision-making and improve overall fleet efficiency.
Continuous Monitoring:
- Implement systems for continuous monitoring of compliance metrics.
- Generate reports and dashboards to track and communicate compliance performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Compliance, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a compliance-related role, preferably in logistics.
- In-depth knowledge of international and domestic shipping regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
