Responsibilities:
Fleet Operations Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the company's fleet, ensuring optimal efficiency and compliance.
- Uphold safety regulations and implement vehicle maintenance standards.
Vehicle Procurement and Disposal:
- Coordinate the acquisition of new vehicles, considering the fleet's needs and budget constraints.
- Efficiently manage the disposal of older vehicles in alignment with cost-effectiveness and environmental responsibility.
Driver Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of drivers, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and performance standards.
- Monitor driver performance, address issues promptly, and maintain a positive team culture.
Maintenance Scheduling:
- Implement a proactive maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles.
- Coordinate regular inspections and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure the fleet's reliability.
Cost Management:
- Monitor and control fleet-related expenses, including fuel costs, maintenance, and repairs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or operational efficiency.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data related to fleet performance, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs.
- Generate insightful reports to inform decision-making and improve overall fleet efficiency.
Emergency Response Planning:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to address breakdowns, accidents, or unforeseen challenges.
- Ensure a swift and coordinated response to minimize disruptions and maintain service reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in fleet management or related roles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
