Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain and meet business objectives.
- Align logistics operations with overall company goals and objectives.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing logistics team.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
Operations Oversight:
- Oversee the day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Ensure seamless coordination between different logistics functions.
Maintenance Scheduling:
- Implement a proactive maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles.
- Coordinate regular inspections and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure the fleet's reliability.
Cost Management:
- Develop and manage logistics budgets to control costs effectively.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data related to fleet performance, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs.
- Generate insightful reports to inform decision-making and improve overall fleet efficiency.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize costs and service levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in logistics management, with a track record of success.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
